What is a CS2 trade up contract?
A trade up contract is the core of Counter-Strike skin trading. Put ten skins of the same rarity into the contract and get back one skin of the rarity above. The last five skins you place become the only possible outcomes, so every slot is a choice — and every choice changes the numbers.
Two variables decide what you receive. The average float of your ten inputs sets the float of the result, which determines its wear condition. The collections you draw from fix the pool of possible outcomes. Get both right and you can flip cheap skins into expensive ones.
How the solver works
- 1
We pull live prices from the Steam Community Market and apply Steam fees, so every number is the real amount you would get back.
- 2
We generate every valid trade up — single-input and mixed two-input contracts — and compute its expected return, profitability, free float, and profit chance.
- 3
Every outcome is listed with its chance, float, and price, so you see the full picture before you buy a single skin.
- 4
Filter by rarity, skin type, wear, float, price, and profit chance to zero in on the trade up that fits your budget.
Features
Profitability
Expected return divided by cost, ranked so the best contracts surface first.
Free float
Buy worn skins cheaper and still land the float you want. Free float shows you exactly how much room you have.
Profit chance
The probability of breaking even or better, computed from every possible outcome.
StatTrak & Souvenir
Separate StatTrak, Souvenir, and mixed trade up types, each priced and generated independently.
Covert trade ups
From Covert to Extraordinary — knives and gloves included with real float ranges and prices.
Live Steam prices
15 currencies, switched from the header, with Steam fees already applied.
Trade Up Calculator
Build your own contract — pick skins, set float, and see every outcome.
FAQ
What is a CS2 trade up contract?
Trade ten skins of the same rarity for one skin of the next rarity. The five items placed last fix the five possible outcomes; the average input float fixes the result float.
How do I know if a trade up is profitable?
Check the profitability percentage and profit chance on each contract. Profitability is expected return after fees over cost; profit chance is the probability of breaking even.
What does free float mean?
The gap between your inputs' average adjusted float and the threshold that would push the outcome into a worse wear. Higher free float means you can use cheaper, more worn skins and keep the result wear.
Are StatTrak and Souvenir trade ups included?
Yes — normal, StatTrak, Souvenir, and mixed contracts are generated and priced separately, including knives and gloves from Covert trade ups.
Where do prices come from?
The Steam Community Market, refreshed by a price daemon. Results are shown in your selected currency.
